Once I get a little time (within the next week or so), I plan on creating a bunch of wallpapers, formatted to fit the Chocolate (320x240 if I'm not mistaken). My question is this: is there a place here on the howard forums to upload any wallpapers to? Or is this something where I'd provide my own space, and just direct people to it?
I created a bunch of wallpapers for an older Samsung phone I owned, and I'd probably make those available as well.
Anyway, TIA for any information!

You need to store them on your own webspace, and direct people to them. Alot of people on here use www.4shared.com .

Many thanks for the replies. I've got my own domain, so I'll just use it. I just wasn't sure if there was a preferred method.
Thanks again.

i tried making my own wallpapers and made the resolution 320X240 but when i look at it from my phone (LG VX8500) it looks all distoreded and pixelly

Yeah, I've been experimenting since I posted that message...
I don't have a distortion problem per se, but I have noticed that the existing wallpapers that the Choc comes with go all the way to the edge of the phone's screen (effectively, the bar that has the microphone icon, etc, is transparent), whereas any wallpapers that I've downloaded to the phone, get squished between the bars on the sides of the screen. Is there a way around this? Maybe use a different image format? I'm using .jpg right now, but maybe the phone's OS prefers something else?
I don't have the USB cable (yet) to access the phone's file system so I can examine one of the 'papers that come with the phone. Thoughts anyone?

If anyone's interested, I found a possible solution here:

I'll try this soon and see if it works.

Simple. use bitpim. u can resize the picture there ans send it to ur phone. All u need is the usb cable or a bluetooth adapter if u know how to use the adapter.

240x275 is the size you want to use

Creating wallpapers in 240 x 275 and transferring them via BitPim gives me exactly what I was looking for.
For anyone interested, I've posted some wallpapers on my site:

The larger images are 240 x 275. Feel free to DL any of them you see fit. There will be more coming, hopefully this weekend.
Thanks, by the way, to everyone who offered advice.
