SDA Missing Calls with no Notification

I have an unlocked SDA on a Cingular Blue Account with the White ATT SIM. I am occasionally missing calls (no rings) and receive no voicemail or missed call indicators for the calls. It does not happen all the time, and my attempts to replicate the problem have been unsuccessful. My phone is not overclocked and the problem is not limited to times when I am using GPRS data.

I am using the i-mate rom and radio update:
Operator Version: 2.6.331.2
Radio Version: 4.1.13.19_02.37.01

Any ideas?

This has been quite the discussion as of late at XDA forums. I personally have the problem as well but the vast majority of us that are having the issue have some Wizard variant. Only one person in the thread (I think) is on T-Mobile. The rest of us are on Cingular.

My device is a K-Jam and I can't figure out for the life of me what's causing it. Believe me, I know how frustrated you are. I miss phone calls and voice mail constantly now.

Yeah, I should have used the word constantly instead of occasionally as this problem is very frequent. I had seen people having similar problems on other devices, but I have not yet seen a thread with anyone else having this problem with an SDA.

I have the same problem with Cingular. In fact, I don't get my texts or voicemail because of it. I'll call my voicemail and it'll say new messages and my phone doesn't report it. People are mad at me for it. Any help?

I switched to the Cingular ROM, and it appears to be working much better. It's been over a week, and I'm not aware of any missing "missed call" or voicemail indicators.

Cingular ROM:

There's a Cingular ROM for the SDA? I just switched from the imate sp5m to the Qtek 8300 ROM. All I can say is WOW, way better and less buggy. And more room to store stuff.
