Verizon V3m P2K connection problem

I've done everything listed on www.hacktherazr.com, but P2k Commander either doesn't connect to my phone at all (Verizon V3m RAZR) or it does but crashes when I try to do anything.
Help? I'm a complete noob at this, so pretend I'm stupid.
