I just found on buy.com an Unlocked 9300 for $245. That's just about half off, and it's unlocked. I almost want to kick myself for paying what I did.

Is it a 9300a or a 9300b?

You really don't want a 9300a if you are in the U.S./Canada.

Its a 9300b.

That's a good price. I paid $600 for mine (also an unlocked 9300b), but that was over a year ago. As with all technology, price goes down over time.

I am still waiting for someone else to produce a comparable device. Of all the pda/phone combos out there, none has the same combination of keyboard and screen size in a phone that fits easily in your pocket. Why this is, I'm not sure.

So, even at the price I paid, I am very happy with my purchase.

Me too :-( It's not fun to see these massive price drops after I've paid way more. But then, it's a very nice device. Say, you want to look up a word in a Chinese dictionary - it's available and really quick. Want to look up a map? No need to go online and wait for all ads on mapquest to load. Instead, get some software for the phone and use it offline.

If anyone asks, I'd still recommend this phone - especially as a pocketable computer.

I completely agree.

I was just about to ask everyone's opinions on the 9300 as I just ordered one tonight (should be here by end of week). Glad to see some positive thoughts on it!

I'm a Nokia fan, and although I love my 6260, using it for txt is a bit of a drag although I've notice myself picking up on the speed. Still, nothing beats qwerty. My only very minor concern is that Picostation/Picoblog doesn't seem to be compatible. I use it on my 6260, but haven't seen any Series 80 downloads for it Oh well, I'll just swap my sim card back and fourth.
