So my w600i is dying rapidly. Hinge fell apart earpiece died so I am going to get it replaced via the insurance that I pay 4.99 a month for. The question is what would they replace it with? My feeling is they'll go with the z525a or some other piece of junk. The w600 is what they replaced my s710a with, which pissed me off to start off with. TIA

They replaced mine with a D807 its not a piece of junk, but its not my favorite...

D807 thats what they sent me.
i heard some ppl got replaced with a LG CU500 or W810i but im not so sure.

Not sure if insurance works on the same system as the warranty system, but I got a w810i for mine.

Yeah I would think they would give you a SE w810i.. The main difference is the camera, really.

Don't let them send you a d807, those phones are junk. Poor signal strength and one of the quietest phones I have ever used.

EDIT://

I am currently using a cu500, it's a great phone. If you would like to try something different then SE, I would recommend one of those.

A friend of mine got a w300i from insurance he was offered the d807 or slvr as well . He tried for the w810i but they wouldn't give him one.

The first rep I spoke to would only replace my phone with the D807 even after explaining to him that the phone does not get any reception in my home. I then asked to speak to a supervisor who then offered me a w300i. I explained that the camera was important feature for me. She said she could send me a w810i but she would cancel my insurance.

I now have a w810i and I still have insurance.

The insurance doesn't normally cover the w810i so that may be why they were going to cancel it.

well i didnt have insurance, but was under warranty and had my w600i replaced. I was offered the w810, l7 and the nokia e62.

I always wanted a smartphone so i chose the nokia e62....

did i make the right choice?

The W810i has a quieter earpiece.

I just set up my nth (well, 4th or 5th) XBM for the w600i. Honestly, except for the size, it was a great phone. I actually liked the builtin memory. I don't like to encourage SE with their insistence on their non-standard memory cards, so I haven't been looking at their other phones, nice as some of them may be.

XBM offered me: E62, RAZR, SLVR 7, w800i, D807, A707.

I've used them both, one after the other at times. I'm going to have to agree with tuolumne on this one.

i just xbm'ed my w600 for the second time, i did ask about other options but was simply told no. I like the w600 but it is really a problem-prone phone

Yes, but the w810i's call volume can be easily fixed by upgrading it's firmware. I bought my unbranded and it was awefully quiet, but after upgrading the firmware, it's fine now.
