CellBoost for Treos/Palm Handhelds sucessfully hacked!

Well, the title explains it all. Last night I was playing around with my CellBoost emergency charger that I received for Christmas and I noticed that it was disposable... Luckily, they supplied a removable adapter that would make the charger compatible with the newer Palm Treos and most newer Palm Handhelds (TX/T5/E2/LifeDrive), which meant it broke the meaning of a disposable emergency charger for Palm Treos if you know how to modify it into a reusable version.
I wrote this tutorial on my website so you can read the tutorial here.

Very cool indeed. I might give that a try, right now I carry two Treo 650 batteries on long trips and plane rides. I know, i know, get a higher capacity battery but im waiting for the Treo 680 high capacity same size batteries to ship, so im not investing more money in my 650 that i can't use on the 680.

But this is cool... does it actually charge the Treo from dead to 100% on two batteries?

It should. But don't worry, 4xAA NiMH batteries would almost charge your Treo 2 times over.

hehe, that's pretty cool. my gf got me this for christmas as a backup. i usually have a full batt all the time anyway. now i know not to throw away the tr2 adaptor though

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; PalmSource/Palm-Zir4; Blazer/4.0) 16;320x320)

you shouldn't. and don't throw away the tr1 adapter either. you can mod that also and sell it.

Sorry to resurrect and old thread. But does anyone know where I can find the information linked to in this thread? About reusing cellboost battery backs? The link is dead and I can't find a cached version of the page anywhere on the net.
