since giving up nokia's a long time ago i had missed that you could have the phone turn on when the alarm went off.through audiovox and motorol and lg none of these phones's would turn on.i know alot of people just leave their phone on but it's amazing the wrong numbers that happen in the middle of the night.since those i care about have the home number ,the cell stays off.so anyway. since i never read the manual i find stuff from playing with the phone.to my surprise because i tried the alarm with the phone off and it didnt work.but i found that going to options,other and then power on to alert. this,duh, turns the phone on in airplane mode and sounds the alarm. i know there are people that knows this and for all i know all sanyos do this. but it is a pleasant surprise to me. i hope it's a welcomed surprise for someone else.

you can also turn ringer off and the alarm will still sound.
