when i hook my phone up to my computer and start up Motorola Phone Tools, when it shows a picture of my phone, on the left top of the screen of the phone, it shows a red circle with a white minus sign on it. it also says "communication port unavailable" and when i click "multimedia studio" to put things from my phone to my computer, it doesnt show any files on the side where the phones document are supposed to show. i can't put things on or take things off.

help me?

What phone do you have? Also are you running the most up to date version of Motorola Phone Tools? Do you have any other programs running that may be accessing information on your phone?

its a motorola L6

i just got it for christmas, so i would hope it would be up to date, and im not sure about the programs opened thing.
i could try it without anything else open.

it worked for the first two days i had it then yesterday when i tried it it wouldnt work.

Have you tried to turn the phone off, and then on again? I used to have a similar problem, but after turning off and on the phone, problem solved!
