looking for someone who actually has one ..

i read a couple posts .. but nothing recent ... with the C 3 ( which has a couple added software bonus's )..

really thinking about a 99.99 C3 as a backup type phone .. was playing around with it today . and even though its so small ( which i like ) for carrying in the pocket and ect . the keys still seemed big enough to text on and chek e-mail ..
anyone

not a single person owns this phone ?

HoFo user Walkguru has used this phone, and I believe liked it.

For me, I wasn't a fan of the RF signal holding ability. But that's just me. However, for something inexpensive and tiny, it was built surprisingly well.

I'm glad to see you're still using it. Honestly, it's the little phone I want to love.

(I'm in 1900 MHz dominant area).

Just got mine yesterday. Was using a Moto V300 (notice the commonality of numbers - cardinality is preserved). I love the phone, I bought the refurb one and put the SIM card from my motorola & off I went.

PROS - small & light
UI - is better than the Moto one. The Moto does NOT allow grouping multiple numbers under one name, but creates a separate phone book entry for EACH additional number. So the Pantech's phone book will have only one name entry for multiple phone & emails.

Also, the Moto UI does not allow more than a single letter for the phone book search. E.g. if you want to find "Stepahnie" you can only type in "S" and scroll through all the "S"s until the desired name is found.

The Pantech (like LG) will allow multiple letters in the search, so you type "S" then "T" then "E" and the desired name will pop to the top.
Camera is great.

The display is bright and when entering numbers to call, the numbers are HUGE - about a 1/4" high! Even though the outside screen is, of course, small, the time digits are also about 1/4" high - impressive.

CONS - it's so small, you can easily lose it!!!
Can't turn off the power on tone. It makes a sound when you power it on or off unless you have it in vibrate mode.

No supported data cable or computer synching software.
Of course, being small, the keypad buttons are small and even my small hand has trouble sometimes.

can't custom program the navigation wheel, you can on the Moto.
It's a world phone - can use it Europe if your provider has you set up or you buy a local SIM card.

Reception is good, despite what CNET.COM wrote, at least here in San Francisco.

My refurb has full warranty and looks new.

I bought it primarily for its size & it fits into my running shorts pocket easily and is VERY light.

NOTE - speakerphone option is not documented. To use it, call, wait for a connection then press the OPTION soft key at the top and select SPEAKERPHONE.

Both CINGULAR and Pantech has been good at answering functionality questions.
Love it.

I think there is a USB cable and software now... I could have sworn I've seen one somewhere.

I think this is something with all pantech's, on the power tone, but you can suppress it I think if you hit the middle button when you are turning it on or off. Its loud too...

the data cable, there was a thread on the pantech forums, but not sure if they got it working. The equivalent model the pg-3200 has a sync software, but I dont own to know.
