For me, I wasn't a fan of the RF signal holding ability. But that's just me. However, for something inexpensive and tiny, it was built surprisingly well. |

PROS - small & light UI - is better than the Moto one. The Moto does NOT allow grouping multiple numbers under one name, but creates a separate phone book entry for EACH additional number. So the Pantech's phone book will have only one name entry for multiple phone & emails. Also, the Moto UI does not allow more than a single letter for the phone book search. E.g. if you want to find "Stepahnie" you can only type in "S" and scroll through all the "S"s until the desired name is found. The Pantech (like LG) will allow multiple letters in the search, so you type "S" then "T" then "E" and the desired name will pop to the top. Camera is great. The display is bright and when entering numbers to call, the numbers are HUGE - about a 1/4" high! Even though the outside screen is, of course, small, the time digits are also about 1/4" high - impressive. CONS - it's so small, you can easily lose it!!! Can't turn off the power on tone. It makes a sound when you power it on or off unless you have it in vibrate mode. No supported data cable or computer synching software. Of course, being small, the keypad buttons are small and even my small hand has trouble sometimes. can't custom program the navigation wheel, you can on the Moto. It's a world phone - can use it Europe if your provider has you set up or you buy a local SIM card. Reception is good, despite what CNET.COM wrote, at least here in San Francisco. My refurb has full warranty and looks new. I bought it primarily for its size & it fits into my running shorts pocket easily and is VERY light. NOTE - speakerphone option is not documented. To use it, call, wait for a connection then press the OPTION soft key at the top and select SPEAKERPHONE. Both CINGULAR and Pantech has been good at answering functionality questions. Love it. |
