if you use a stock FS yes you are unbranding. for the camera shutter you have to make sure that your customize.xml has the option to turn camera shutter off in true

<suppress-camera-sound>true</suppress-camera-sound>
</camera>

the newest MIAN and FS are R4EA031 and R4ED001 respectively. they go together, so you can flash both. if you decide to flash both id recommend when using that guide to flash FS with phone XS first. unplug your phone, pull out battery and put it in again. plug your phone again and the flash fake main (all this without customizing the phone on phone XS!!). i do it like this becuase after your flash main on phone XS the thing hangs on finishing flash. but its ok to unplug your phone.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it possible to upgrade camera/sound drivers, remove shutter sound, etc, without unbranding? My phone is still under warranty and I was kinda hoping to do this without removing the Rogers branding (For now).

Also I was flashing with R4DB005 firmware from fungied.cheese's pack. Is this no longer the recommended firmware?

And finally, I haven't tried Phone XS yet, I was using XS++ as it is faster and doesn't require bruteforcing. Do you think XS is better than XS++?

i thought XS++ still required bruteforcing when you customize the FS. anyways i dont think there is much difference between the two.. i could be wrong. it doesnt matter which one you use beucase you wont finalize using those program. you will via FAR. to answer your first Q, yes you can add all those things without unbranding, just look for the right directory on your FS. for the camera shutter thing you have to edit your customize.xml file. save a copy on your comp and open it with notepad. look for this line and make sure its in true:

<camera>
<suppress-camera-sound>true</suppress-camera-sound>
</camera>

in my customize.xml its almost at the end.
for the firmware R4EA031 and R4ED001 are the newest MAIN and FS respectively. but R4DB005 works fine too i guess, i've had both and theyre both ok. the files your need you can download them from the link i posted earlier.

you poor soul.... dont pay for this kind of things....
if you use wotan it isnt any safer than of you do it yourself. basically you still have to do it youself, you just paid for files available in the internet for free. well.. whats done is done. and when you wanna customize your phone more (more flash themes, new sound drivers, camera drivers, walkman player skins, etc.) read my post #395 in this thread. it has links to a guide to flash your phone (for free, the way its supposed to be) and also a link to another thread to download all files youll need to flash your phone. happy flashing

PS: maybe you can try to get a refund from wotan?? in my opinion paying should be a last resort, i work hard for my money to just give it away like that.

Dont want to mess around playing in the folders, changing that, etc

I found several tutorials to flash from k750i to w800, but none to w810i. Does it work well? W810i seems similar but has one or two more buttons, could be slightly different hardware as well, any success stories?
