How Do I Transfer Camera Images That I Shot With My Phone (Sanyo SCP-3100) To My Computer Via A USB Data Cable?

Sad to say, it is not possible to transfer pictures directly to PC from a Sanyo 3100. You can transfer only two types of data with a USB cable: Contact list and Calendar. No ring tones, no screen savers, no pictures.

If you want to get pictures off your phone, you'll have to pay extra for Sprint PCS Picture Mail (that's why they crippled the USB data transfer!). However, the picture quality is much too poor (VGA-grade) for any serious photo editing.

Incidentally, Sprint/Sanyo even disabled battery charging via USB cable, which was possible with earlier Sanyo models. Not with the SCP-3100. Thanks a lot, guys.
