Can I transfer MP3s to my Pearl???

How do I transfer MP3s from my PC to my Pearl via USB??? When I try, I get an error message?
Oops Im sorry, I should have clarified. I have no problem transferring MP3s to my phone to use as ringtones, but cannot transfer full length tracks to use on my music/media player.
It says " An error occured transferring 'My BlackBerry/ NAME OF FILE.mp3 to the BlackBerry device."
"The size of the file exceeds the maximum file limit of the BlackBerry device memory."
So I guess what Im asking is, how do I adjust the size of the file that my Pearl will allow?

Without a memory card you can only transfer files smaller than (i belive) 2mb. Get a memory card and you should be good to go, as long as you are sending them to the card.
