I hard reset my phone, and stop the Verizon customizations. I installed wireless sync/mms/bt and that's it. I haven't done the registry hacks listed above, but I haven't had to reset for a week either. I'm going to try installing each verizon cab 1 at a time to see if anything fixes it. Then I'll post my results. After I figure out what needs to be installed to fix this, I'll just do another hard-reset and install the stuff I need. - RX8 - |

Take a picture, and click on the little envelope to send it. You should see 2 options, "Send via MMS" & "Send via E-Mail". Select "Send via E-Mail". When I did this, it immediately goes to select an account and shows me the following choices. Select an account Text Messages Outlook E-Mail MMS User@User.com New Pix Message (MMS) User@User.com This is what it use to look like before the unbranded phone. From here I select "New Pix Message (MMS)" and it works fine. Is that how you expected it work? or act? Or did you get a different result when you first got you phone? |

Why not let Verizon's software install instead of doing the hard-soft-reset trick? I have the Verizon software installed and don't get freezes. You say you have a 'virgin' phone yet it is in fact heavily modified. Everybody else who complains about their phone freezing, with or without a storage card and third-party software, seems to have done this destructive hack on their phone that renders it completely non-provisioned by Verizon. Besides saving memory there is really no reason at all, IMO, to do this mother-of-all-hacks. Those who say it makes their phone snappier probably are just seeing the effects of a fresh hard reset. And all the talk about how good the hack was seems to have happened before the ROM update was released. How about just letting Verizon set the phone up the way it was intended to be set up? Maybe then your freezes will go away. |

Here are the hacks that I have done: - Multi-NAI - Enable DUN - Bluetooth and SDCard Suspend Fix - Improving Tower Polling / Ring Response Times - Eliminate TXT Sent Notification - Keyboard LED time I also - Run MemMaid regularly - Avoid soft resetting as much as possible (can require patience) - Close programs that come with an Exit button - Don't use Magic Button or another task manager/closer - Don't force programs to close that have no Exit button - Leave Wi-Fi off when not in use - Avoid installing software to Storage Card that needs to remain running (eg Today plugins) - Don't configure Outlook to check (pull) any of my mail - Use Verizon's Wireless Sync with Push mode activated (even for POP3) - Don't sync any data with Outlook (or any program) on my desktop - Made my PPC look nice using the Vista Theme linked to in my sig - Avoid any program that heavily customizes/themes/skins my Today screen or complete interface - Immediately uninstall software that causes freezing - Regularly backup so that if I get messed up I can restore to a safe point - Compress many executables stored in Main Memory using UPX (linked to in my sig as EXE Compressor) to fit everything - Try not to let the battery run down to nothing (which causes power management to start terminating things) - Have .NET CF 2 installed (to my Storage Card, believe it or not, with much reluctance and testing) - Rarely use .NET-based software and never leave it running - Never overclock my device - Never meddle with Extended ROM or OEM-supplied software I don't know that any of this has anything to do with preventing any problems -- I'm just throwing it out there in case it helps anybody who is questioning their own usage. I know that there are people who abuse the hell out of their devices, install whatever they want to wherever they want, and overclock their processors and have very little problems, but I'm not that fearless. |

I am just trying to find out if his phone is loaded with the verizon software... and also... if he followed your hacks or just did a few... and if he did a few what are they. He mentioned some but still never answered if he was running any of yours or not. |
