I don't have a Pearl but I am going to assume it won't work. Any Pearl owners care to comment?

No

2 reasons:

A: the micro sd slot is not big enough and due to the design and location the antenna would be covered up by the battery and battery cover, even if it would fit your reception woudl suck

B: which brings me to my second point, there is no current OS support from RIM for external wifi cards, so the OS would not even pick up that you had that in there

Like jeffro01 said, RIM's code is propriatary, and there's no way to add anything other hardware software, unless it's been designed or approved by RIM. There's also very little room in the space between the battery and the microSD slot.

If you want wifi on a BlackBerry, check the 8800 thread that's in my signature.

It also says on that link: OS Support Microsoft Windows CE 4.X-5.X, which obviously the BB does not have.
