Trying to sync Palm TX with Verizon Wireless Razor v3m

I am trying to sync my palm tx with my verizon wireless razor v3m. The wi fi in my area isn't very reliable, therefore I'm trying to use the bluetooth capability to get my pda online. My pda and my phone "found each other". I typed in a code however, after that it will not work. That is as far as I can get.
I've done some reading and hear that Verizon has disabled this capability. I also seen there was a class action lawsuit in California over the bluetooth being disabled on phones.
Is it hopeless trying to sync my pda to my v3m phone? Or is there a way?
