New Pearl in Hand

I just purchased a Pearl through the Premier site. I received a 3G SIM card along with the phone. The 3G SIM card is not registered to my account. Therefore, when inserted into the Pearl, it said something about SIM card not recognized or something like that. When I placed my old non-3G SIM card into the Pearl, it quickly recognized my number and 'account.'

Do I have to call Cingular and have them register the 3G SIM card onto my account or can I do this online?

Just follow the instructions that came with your order. Call the number, punch in the digits requested, and voila you're done.

Don't worry, you probably won't have to speak to a real person.

Yeah or just call 611 and tell them you have a new SIM to activate. They do it quickly enough.

Ah, I knew I should have read those directions. Unfortunately, I had to speak to a real person.

Just called from my new phone. I have all the necessary information in front of me such as the SIM card # and ESN and they are asking me to turn off both phones. So annoying. I'll activate it from home as I do not want to call from work.
