8100 Call Quality

I am getting more and more people complaining about the quality of my calls using my Tmo Pearl. I have never had a problem hearing anyone else, no matter what the signal showed on the phone, but the other party typically hangs up because they can not hear me.
Anyone else having this problem? I've had the phone for about 2 months.
Thx

What firmware are you using? Did you try doing a reboot and/or a firmware reload?

I am using FW .67 for Telefonica. I did a hard reboot too. I've had this problem since I got it, but intermittently.
I called Tmo last night and told them what is going on. They said, OK, we'll send you another one - you are within the 1 year warranty. However, they said it would be new or like new. It'll be here in about a week, so I'll give it a try and see if it fixes the problem.

I got my replacement today. It is made in Canada (my original is made in Mexico). Unfortunately, the pearl rollerball does not work.....<sigh>. So, another is on the way, with lots of apologies and via express delivery.

I live on the fringe of Tmo's coverage and find that the Nokia's have superior RF capabilities over the Pearl (both my original and replacement) on the same network. If I want to use my free weekend and even minutes, I pop out my SIM and install it in an old 6230 and talk away. As for the last kick in the teeth against the Pearl, my company MIS person (Citigroup) told me the Pearl is too new and they don't support it in any way - BES or sync'ing PIM material. Maybe by the end of the year when they have time to write support software.

I've been having problems with people hearing me for the first 3-5 seconds after I answer a call. It seems like a reset (pulling battery) has resolved it, at least for now. You may want to try that.
