I have a Blackjack and I wanted to install my ActiveSync onto my Laptop that is running on Windows XP. When I try to install ActiveSync it says I need Service Pack 2, but after trying to install that my computer won't boot. I did a system restore so I can use my computer.

I want to know if anyone knows what version of ActiveSync doesn't require Service Pack 2 so I can run my Laptop, ActiveSync, and my Blackjack together...

i know that but my computer does not boot after i install it. my computer doesnt work after i install it

First, you need to back up everything on your computer, everything that is important. Make sure you have all installation software for all the programs you use to. Download it and burn it to DVD's or save to a Ext. Drive. Then put in your computers restore disk, you know the one that sets your computer back to what it was when your first bought it. After you do that, try installing SP2. I clean install on top of another clean install is always the best choice, it may suck it maybe time consuming but....thats just the way it is.

yep. you don't have a phone issue, you have a computer issue. will be time consuming, but sounds like you need to re-install windows.
