MPX220 not upgrading

Im running Windows Vista and I cannot upgrade the rom, the problem always comes when i take out the battery, the computer goes crazy llooking for the driver, and in device manager it has Unkown Device, What should i do?

Not use Vista! LOL. I doubt you can get the modem driver to work in Vista, best bet is to get a Windows XP system and do the update.
