can someone please explian to me what the deal is with the 700p and texting it?? i send a text over to my gf (who has a treo) and my palm will freeze and not respond until her text comes threw!!! I HAVE TO FREAKING TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND REBOOT EVERRYTIME!! I dont know if its Verizons deal, or the phones operating system....

can anyone help me out.... thanks

my dose the same but only for a short time couple of seconds. to me it seems to do it when i dont have the greatest of signal. i never have had to reboot it though. hope that doesnt start.

It's Verizon. Everyone I've talked to with a Verizon phone has atrocious problems with text messaging.

I have texting problems also. Treo 700P will sometimes reset. Verizon is my carrier also. I suspect it is the operating system. 700P has been generally unreliable for me. Losts of resets and freezes with other applications too.

Blame Verizon for crippling their phones. They install all kinds of stuff & 'Verizonize' them, and then people have all kinds of problems. Sprint does it too but to a much lesser extent, and Sprint Treos have the least amount of problems(next to unbranded ones of course).
