VERY new to all of this. Got my Wotan credit, got the client server open but it won't recognize my phone when I plug it in using the USB?!

I press "c" when plugging my phone in to the USB port and nothing??

Any hints?

is the driver installed for the phone? I had used the sony pc suite before unbranding mine. also have to make sure your phone is off as well. other then that, i have only used it once so far and after a few cancels, it worked for me.

i'm having the same exact problem. And by off, you mean in file transfer mode right? because as soon as you plug it in to the usb port it goes into that mode.

I just finished doing it. Did you install the USB Flash driver? You need to do that and follow the instructions for the install off of Wotan's site. After that installs properly, you start the Wotan client, verify your code and hit start. Make sure mem card and sim are out of the phone and make sure it is turned off. Now, plug the phone into the USB while holding down "C". Keep "C" held down until Wotan gives the message, "Phone Detected". From there it's pretty straight forward. Hope this helps.

The phone needs to be turned off, not transfer. No sim or memory card in the phone either. The "C" key you press is the one on the phone, not your computer keyboard.

does it go into transfer mode once you plug in the usb cable tho? like i understand having it off before you plug it in, but as soon as you plug it in it goes into transfer mode

hi i am having the same problem.. also new to this. i bought my wotan credit and the login credentials finally came through today after about 5 days. first of all for me, it won't let me install the DCU-60 USB Flash Driver... i follow the steps on http://www.wotanserver.com/index.ph...install&lang=gb however step 4, not only does my phone come back on into file transfer mode as stated above by other users, but it also never gets to step 5 where a window should open up saying "Found New Hardware Wizard." if anybody at all can help i'd appreciate it greatly.

ok,

for all having trouble.

Hold the c button on your phone while it's off and while you plug the usb cable in. should work

Steps to success:

1) Install Flash USB driver on your computer

2) Make sure battery is charged, SIM and memory stick removed from phone

3) Install and run watonserver and let it update

4) Plug in phone to USB cable while holding down C

5) Once the phone is recognized, you can let go of C and watonserver will do the rest

It's really not that hard, they have even more detailed instructions on the web site with complementing screen shots.

i actually took care of it. the reason was i was plugging the cable into a usb 2.0 on the front of my pc. i dont know if anyone else has realized. but as soon as i plugged it into a usb port on the back of my pc after countless attempts on the front one, it worked just fine. im loving my phone now that it is debranded.

For me I realized that it i wasn't "C" long enough. Gotta do it while you're plugging it in! I still have a hiss/call quality issues that I didn't really have with the cingular firmware.
