Has anybody mananged to get aim or yahoo or gaim or something to install on their 6700? I havn't been able to find one yet, may have to build one.. I have found pay messengers but no free ones..

I use IMOV which is decent app. Logs in to aim, msn, yahoo, irc, icq...

This worked for me:

it's an older version of AIM for Pocket PC 2002, but it works fine on my 6700. And the price is in line with your budget (free)

Yeah, I remember that happening and actually downloaded the UK version. Here's a link that actually works: http://info.aol.co.uk/aim/wince/index.html

The UK version does work just fine.

how did u install this file if it was an exe? my ppc 6700 only let me install it if its a cab exe never works for me somehow

run the exe file on your computer. It will extract a cab file to be installed the next time you sync. If you happen to be on a mac like I am, unfortunately, there aren't always cab files available. There are programs like file juicer, which can extract the cab files, but it doesn't always work.

well for the hacked one i put port 8080 and now it connects all the time.
