Considering a Blackjack

Have used a BB in the past. Current company does not run BB software so that is not an option.
I currently have a Razr and am satisfied with it...Really like the slimness of the Razr.
Should I opt up to the Blackjack...Or is something new and better going to come out of CES?

I am in the same boat as you. Here is my thread that is still alive and well.

It just isn't the $200 or so I would be out if I bought a Blackjack, but also the $240 (minimum) I would be out after the data plan per year. Thats a lot of coin. Also, taxes on top of that but you get my drift.
Its definetly a tough decision.

Something new and better will be announced at CES, but that doesn't mean it will be released through Cingular any time soon. Generally, the pattern has been a delay of up to a year between the time a phone is announced at CES and the time it's actually released (if it finds a US carrier that will sell it in the first place, since mobile phone companies are too spineless to sell decent phones through ordinary retail channels in the USA).
At any rate, CompUSA is having quite a deal on the Blackjack this week. $79.99 out the door on a 2-year contract, no data plan required.

More like $300 plus tax. Don't know why people even bother to factor in a rebate, since you never know when you'll get it.
