Google maps update not working on E816/Bell?

I tried to upgrade the old 1.2 version of google maps to the newest 1.4 by renaming the new files with the same sx_suite style as the old ones. I did this successfully for my opera mini from 2.0 to 3.0 and other applications, however it failed for this google map.

After I uploaded the files and overwrote the old files in the phone, I tried to access the application. It kept saying "loading" then "fatal error". I tried everything but it just could not load. I wonder if it's my problem with uploading or they just cannot work on our E815/816 since I did a search and found somebody say that " the 1.2 in kbman's pack is the only working version".
