Hi, my first time posting because it's a desperate plea for assistance. I'm looking for the tools so I can put ringtones on my phone. Not being able to play with my phone irks me, and I've been searching this site for assistance and can't find it, so I've been driven to post. I hate to ask again, but can somebody please help me locate the kyocera tools for my phone? And I have a black slider with black buttons, and I can't find my phone anywhere, not even on the kyocera site. I bought it in may at a tiny alltel store, but I haven't found it's twin anywhere. Not even alltel knows what my phone is, other than being a kyocera slider. What gives? Am I just a big dummy?

If you have the Slider Remix, then you dont need a program and I or someone else can walk you through it because its pretty easy. But if you have the original slider, Im not to sure if you need a program or not so I cant be of any help there.

No, i don't think I have tha remix. Mine has a totally black face on it, unlike the remix. Do you think it would be worth it to try to do it the same way as the remix? And so my phone is the plain ol' riginal slider, huh?

I have the remix and my phone is all black unlike the ones in the picture next to my profile name that shows grey. The only colors are the white numbers..

I have the same phone, all black KX5 slider remix and i am also trying to connect it to my comp so i can upload songs and the like to it. you say i do not need a programme to do this on the slider remix? this is my first time trying to customize my phone and i would greatly appreciate it if you could walk me through the process. Thanks!

Plug the USB cord into it and to the computer. Then go to settings on your phone and then USB Storage and then enable. Go to My Computer and find your phone (it will be listed as one of the drives) if it doesnt already come up. There will be a file that says music. Just copy and paste your songs in there. There are also files that say saved movies, saved images, saved sounds, camera pics, that kind of thing. Pretty self explanatory after that.

Thanks a lot,...i would need a programme if i wanted to change the alltel images and stuff on the phone though, correct?...and for somereason i cant seem to get my mp3s set as a ring,...i shortened one to less than 45 seconds and it still wont work. i can probably look around on here and find an answer for that though, thanks again!

Well im bored so if you dont want to look around, ill tell you how to do it...lol

After you shorten the mp3, go to save as on whatever program you used to shorten it and when you save it, put .mid at the end. this keeps it as a mp3 but fools your phone into thinking its a midi file which is what its ringtones are. After that, just put that shortened .mid file into the saved sounds and there its on your phone and will now save as a ringtone. 45 seconds is too long though. It will only play about 20 seconds. I just make mine 30 or less.
