I just attempted to HotSync my treo w/ Outlook Express on my PC, which is where I have all my contacts.... And noticed I was not able to, and noticed it spoke of Microsoft Outlook. Is it possible to get it to sync that address book?

Hello Jayden0606,

This is Kevin from Palm Inc. I do not use Outlook and have little familiarity with it. Others here may be able to expand on the particulars for how to accomplish your request. You don't mention whether your Treo 700 is a w, wx, or p. Microsoft's Outlook Express software will not synchronize with a Windows based Treo using the out-of-box software. We recommend that you upgrade to Outlook 2002 supplied with your device (sounds like you already have it installed):

Regarding the Treo 700p, the full Outlook will sync all your PIM data fine. Outlook Express, as an email application, can only be used to synchronize with the Mail application. The PIM data in Outlook Express can not be synchronized with the Treo 700p. If you need to transfer your Outlook Express Address Book to your handheld, you can export the full Address Book from Outlook Express as a CSV (refer to Outlook Express help to learn how), and then import it into Palm Desktop.
This is if you decide to forgo Outlook completely and want to sync with the Palm Desktop, instead:

If you decide to use Outlook instead of Outlook Express, you'll need to export your address book to Outlook. This Microsoft article may apply: Copy Outlook Express address book contacts to Outlook. Or, you can type: import address book "outlook 2002" "outlook express"
into Yahoo for more leads.

If you choose the last route, when you first sync to the Treo, set the address conduit to desktop overwrites handheld. After the hotsync, make sure that conduit is set back to 'synchronize".

I had a 700p and just changed over to the 700wx I have all my contacts in the palm desktop and I cannot convert them into outlook any advice????? im new at this

Sync your 700P to Outlook instead of express. THEN sync 700WX to Outlook
