Hi all,
Can someone give me the latest on this issue?

I've had a 1% success rate - have sent from Yahoo, Gmail, Netzero, Comcast - both thru web-based & pop3 ??? Sent to vzw & vzwpix.
I've removed signatures, removed subjects, was carefu of SPAM SOUNDING words, using different accounts (return addresses), etc, etc

I've changed the birate, size [of the file], the extension (to .mid) - I've sent to two of my phones (my 7000 & 8600) -
Last night after 30 or 40 failed (with 2 or 3 successes to my 8600, I sent a small "nextel sound" to my 7000, it worked, but after that.. nothing (to the 7000) went thru?!?!

I've downloaded ringers from 4share & converted ringers w/ bitpim -

My 1% success rate has been with qcp & mid files under 40k

I've spent a hour w/ tech support (vzw) on this issue & the 550 bounce back (didn't actuall say I was sending ringtones but focused (complained about the SPAM interpretation of their server - got nowhere!

Please, can someone bring me up to speed on this issue w/ possible solutions?

I guess I'm better off getting bluetooth for my laptop & using that [for my 8600], huh?

i have been having the same problem, i got two to go through on my yahoo account and the ringtones were under 150 Kb but anything over i cant get to go through

dont use pop account use adelphia,sbs e.t.c

I've noticed that if you use a different email, be it yahoo or not (I have many) - it'll go through... then I think it's [the e-mail address] blacklisted, afterwhich nothing [from THAT e-mail] goes through.

Ok What Ill Tell U From Experiance Is U Should Buy A Usb Data Cable For Your Phone And Use Bitpim To Download Them To The Phone.you Will Spend $10-$25 On The Data Cable.the Website For The Program Is Bitpim.org

its for sending pix/flix/etc. Not sure why email isnt working for you.. but that will def work. just click the use media from your PC.. then allow the activeX to install. after that its drag and drop. although, be warned it does limit sizes of ringtones

but qcp, mp3, wav are all accepted. (and work)

Naaa..... that didn't work either, tried that weeks ago -
Spent 20 bucks on a bluetooth usb & now I'm fine (just as I suggested to myself a few posts up)
