Battery hot on 8525

I apologize if this has been posted but couldn't find any info. I just got my 8525 last month and the battery really gets hot at the back. Noticed also that in less than 8 hours the battery is down to 20% and all that is running is UTMS, no wifi, photocontacts pro, PI 2007.
any advise or reason why this gets hot? I can feel it if I put my 8525 in my front pocket.
