KX414 Verizon WAP question

I'm using an old phone until I can recover or buy a new one since I just lost my shiny v3m. I figured out how to get into the service menu and change browser settings, but I can't connect to the mobile web (my own proxy or VZW)
I get an error about encryption when I try to connect to my own, but I don't even know the username or password used to connect so I can add it in for authentication.
I tried putting in IPs for Verizon's WAP but I don't even know if they'll work with this phone (Mobile Web 1.0?) Thanks.

i'd email or call tech support and ask for the settings specific to the 414.
but for $5/month you can get mobile web. they have to activate your phone anyway. you only need to do what you're doing if the phone is not supported,,,,,but it is.
