Email Port Settings on the Blackjack

Can anyone tell me how to set the ports for POP email on the Blackjack. I cannot connect to Comcast and I suspect that I need to specify different ports for incoming and outgoing email when using the BJ versus my home connection. I cannot find any information on how to change from the default port settings for email.

Any idea?

I use Comcast POP3 on my 8525.
Settings are as follows.
Incoming mail: mail.comcast.net:995
Outgoing mail: smtp.comast.net:465
tick 'outgoing mail requires authentication'
I connect through 'the internet' on "connection" option.
Be patient, it takes a while for logging on when you check your mail.
Sometimes up to a minute.
Works with Cingular data and wifi connections.

These port numbers also work for Comcast remote mail on your laptop through any internet connection.
On your laptop; tick both in/out mail requires SSL.

Thanks this worked for me. The main thing I was trying to understand is how to configure the ports. Doh! The answer was painfully obvious. I guess I am too used to having everything configured by GUI with Windows.

I am curious as to why you need the SSL connection with a laptop? I didn't check that box on my Blackjack and it seemed to work OK (although as you pointed out...logging in is sloooooooow.)

Don't know why I need to tick the SSL on the laptop. These are the settings I found a long time ago when setting up r'emote mail' for Comcast.

Anyone out there know how to speed up the login time with Comcast?
