My phone has recently lost its earpiece audio and speakerfone audio. At first it was flacky on and off then died in the audio totally. Earpiece and speakerfone. Everythign else works great even text messages and people can hear me when I make or accept a call. The only problem is I can ot hear them at all.

Any ideas? Could it maybe be something simple? Any recomended repair shops if not simple?

Also could a master reset correct the problem? How do you do a master reset?

Please give me any ideas you can

thanks

Based on what we can tell, it seems to be the flex PCB that runs between the 2 halves of the phone and is something we see far too many times to count.

I should add the main board must be fine as a bluetooth handset works fine.. Is there a fix? I kean I have repaired my Razr keyboard etc with parts bought on Ebay not use to Kyocera is that possible on this model? Or does someone do repairs that I could send it to?
thanks

The repair is a little more complicated than the v3 but with the rigth tools, is possible.

While I have replaced the flex cables often, I have not replaced one for this reason since the handset is covered under warranty and most carriers will just replace it. My reasoning for the flex as the culprit is based on what I read and years of accumulated knowledge.
