Greetings,

I've had my BJ for about a week now and I am really enjoying the convenience of having my phone, PDA, MP3 Player and email all in one device. One thing I have not settled on is how to manage email with the BJ. Since we use POP mail at work (and home) I can't push mail to the device so I need to figure out how to use the synch and/or email retrieval of the phone.

I've gotten the phone configured for my work and home email accounts and I can get email just fine. I have also tried synching with Outlook and that works too. What I am trying to understand is why would you use the synch capability over the direct download from the POP server? Also, is there a way to have Windows Mobile leave a copy of the email on the server so that when I check email with my laptop I will have the ability to save the email or any attachments on my computer?

Is there some combination of synching with the laptop and downloading emails directly to the phone that makes sense or is it a case of choosing one method over the other? Any pros and/or cons to synching versus direct access?
