I just got my Samsung A707 SYNC (my new little baby ) and I noticed from day 1 that I would use it (maybe I'm just using it too much?) and the battery would drop down to 2 marks pretty quick, like not even halfway through the day.

I thought, bluetooth? *Turns off bluetooth*

Nope, still draining..

This is really bugging me, any ideas?

Maybe I'm just using it too much? The thing has 3G though, how CAN'T I use it nonstop?!

I use mine constantly and while yes the battery drops down to 2 marks pretty fast I've yet to see it one mark and I charge at bedtime, battery seems fine to me.

sometimes my battery is dead by lunch! even with very light use! ive heard you can disable the 3g to make it last longer; search the forums.

This phones has too many bells to drain the battery. BT is the main one that kills the battery quick, but overall this phone has a good lasting battery. I only ran completely when I go with a charge for 2 days..

But then again you are probably using it way toooo much like u mention, so get your self a car charger..

There is an extended battery available for this phone. It is 1100 mah, instead of the standard 900mah. You might want to try one and see.

Like I said, the battery is not that bad.. Is actually longer lasting then the Blackjack.. So more likely you got a defective one, or using the phone way too much..

Not sure you wanna do that.. the A707's reception is not better then the SLVR or the CU500 and without 3G, the reception might drop enough you will hate ur phone..

The thing is... 3G is on the same frequency as GSM (850 and 1900) so cutting off 3G will save battery and will not affect signal strength at all. If you are on a 3G plan... get a better phone, hehe.

You are right about other phones.. In fact, I also have a CU500, and the reception is waaay better thent he A707.. Even the A807 slider is better for reception, but that phone is not a 3G phone..
