HTC Dilemma!

I currently have a Tmobile Dash. I love this phone, but a few years ago, I had a PocketPC and LOVED the thing to death. I sold it to get a Treo 650 (Big mistake). I then went to an SDA, and now to a Dash. I love HTC phones, but I want a PocketPC phone rather then a Smartphone.

I am currently looking at the P3600 Trinity and the TyTN. I am just looing for some opinions.

I had a PocketPC for a year and a half. It had no keyboard, and I was fine without it. The P3600 has no keyboard, it is smaller, and weighs less...and it is the exact same phone. The TyTN is bigger, heavier, but has a slide qwerty. They are also around the same price. I believe one is about $50 USD more than the other.

So what do you think...P3600, or TyTN?

For me the keyboard is a must have, I do so much email that I simply can't live without it, so it really comes down to that, if you do alot of texting or emailing, then you have to have the keyboard, if not your ok.

Oh yea, another question.

If I get the TyTN, should I buy a Cingular 8525 instead of a factory unlocked one (much cheaper!). I would buy it on ebay.

I think saving a couple hundred bucks on the 8525 is worth dealing with the Cingular crap.

Well I guess it depends on whether or not warranty is important to you, for the amount of money these phones cost, I would think getting a warranty through cingular would be important.

Well it is only a 1 year manufacturer warranty, but yea...it could be worth it. It all depends on what the price of the phone is on ebay. There is a really big range between prices. Anywhere from $350 to $720. If it ends up being about $500, ill probly just go to my local Cingular store and buy one retail so I have the warranty. But if I somehow get one for $350 (one can hope ), then I will jump for that and say screw the warranty.

I would go for the cheapest one. Even though you had a PPC without a keyboard in the past, You will probably find that it is an even more useful device with one. I have an 8525 and I love it, it is great, and data input is so easy.

Have you looked at the HP 69xx? It has everything the Dash has plus GPS and its PocketPC Phone edition. If you like the keyboard on the dash, you will then enjoy the HP. I bought an HP, but I preferred something slimmer and didn't need the GPS as my car has it already, plus I have a Dell Axim X50V as well.

Thanks.
