Z800i is still a nice phone.

I heard 804SH is actually unlocked. Its just that nobody wants it and it seems pretty rare in general. The 904SH is also unlocked, but I think it has something to with needing to connect to some Sharp/Softbank server, so unlocking is almost impossible in that sense.

Z800i is alright for its time. Sony Ericsson in general, their build quality aren't that great, at least from my experience. Don't get me wrong though, I love my phone. But Sharp is just better.

Its hard because you never pay the price others are looking to sell for. You're pricing when it comes to selling, is always also slightly higher than average, from what I've observed LOL

hey i need some sharp user's opinion. Im looking to get a new phone. currently using 903, its a good fone and all but can't really check email/tether/read word,excel,powerpoint. So im looking at the n73 or k790i which would u guys think is better? cuz i put asked in either in nokia forum or se forum and its like in the nokia forum its favor towards n73 and vise versa

so its better to ask fellow sharp friends instead.

The K790a you mean? Lol, I actually sold that baby for $520. I kept it like that cause I had the one buyer, crazy guy that was in Korea at the time.

Everything else is decently priced. When will you find an unlocked Z710 BNIB for $220 :/

nope, but there were claims in vietnam and china, most are beta and very buggy

The camera module is 5mp, but the phone uses software to interpolate to 8mp

I-Mobile 902 looks to be very interesting phone. Made on SE hardware but NOT SE that means also that there`s no SE menu and design. Design is just ok, nothing to complain but nothing special. Gentle blend of latest nokia, se & benq-siemens designs. Camera perfomance is really good and these night shots... I love them. Too bad that`s not a flip phone and screen could be bigger, but these night shots...
How much for this brick and can I get one unlocked?

lol nope! the surface has always been nice and glossy. umm usually the dangly things just flop to the side of the 903 when they're in my pocket so nothing really hits the front.

it's sorta like the SE UI but not exactly.

I'll be doing a review on it for ppl hofo users I'll compare the i-mobile to the 903 in as many ways as possible. but right now I have mid terms and doing research is keeping me busy.. haha so wait until 1 or 2 weeks and until my new hard drive comes in because I lost all my old 903/i-mobile pictures :S

nah i mean stuff you don't read in the reviews like.. how you can view slideshow with background mp3's, or how video's don't have autofocus like a 903/904. THey don't compare shutter lag or anything.

That was a guess mind you. I just used method of deduction as I -know- the HK and JP versions do, and also Mobique is an Australian site and Australia gets Euro versions. So I can only assume it's Euro version.

to is for us to imagine how white would look like if it was designed with black trimmings...

and this is how red would look like if it was designed with silver trimmings...

man... if only i knew someone who had a black 903SH... me and my black SX833 trimings.. and a black 903Sh.... HOW COOL would that be to tricking someone... hahahahah ^_^

Thought u don't like white. Somebody else had a all white n73 that look even nicer. The k790 is still work in progress,looking to get it silver and white only. Also looking for black housing for the 902sh,love the design wish it had the 903 optics.

i didn't mind the n73 joystick at all, and this coming from a definite d-pad guy. i got used to it very quickly and only noticed trouble with it when playing games. it is even good for using to change music tracks when in a pocket (if you don't have an ad-41), the joystick is easy to find and just a quick flick of it will change songs or stop or whatever you want to do.

I'm in Rochester (where I go for school) and so far no problems. There are some buildings in my school that are known for having little signal and I don't get any in those (while I would occasionally with my Nokia), but in most areas I get reception without any issues. I'm moving back to MA after I graduate so I hope it will continue to work well there too (P.S. anyone live around Boston and know if the Cingular 1900 band is good?

I don't worry about it scratching the actual phone but I do worry about the camera lens, so when I put it back in its pouch (the pink Coach one in the photos) I wrap a cleaning cloth around the back to protect it (^^)

Umm being able to type in Japanese?

That's the big reason why I keep it, even though it can't accept mms

Not sure what the other big benefits are - it seems like there aren't many, to be honest

But you can email using pop? That would be a cool way to keep in touch with people. I don't MMS much anyway, never did. It's better to email someone a photo - their screen on the phone will be crap unless they have a phone this good anyway

Yeah, remove OP logo, fullscreen wallpaper, 3 themes, ability to type Japanese (meaning about 85% of Chinese characters can be read as well), answerphone, Network Selection can be Auto, 3G and GSM. hmm can't think of any more atm.

OK just had a look, no you can't as the email bit is hardwired to Vodafone Japan.

I was gunna use vodafone UK.
This will suck if I can't get it to work, because then there's no benefit to having a Japanese keypad.

The CECT v918 is a cheap phone made in china that has GSM dual band. Amazingly enought it has a large 3" qvga touchscreen with great colours. It has a builtin nes-emulator, so you can play most of the old nintendo games like Super Mario Bros 1,2,3, Megaman series and such. Videoplayback is smooth, and it has microsdslot. But the headset that came with the phone is crappy, and it does not use ordinary 2,5mm plug, so you can't use other headsets.
