They were only available in silver over here and I've only ever seen one other person using a 770SH in the UK and it was a black handset, probably from Europe.

The external display is a normal mono LCD, its under a tinted plastic which makes it look great but is not as easy to see in daylight as the 770's clear window.

I might do a disassembly guide with the old parts of the 770SH if its useful to anyone?

And, i use 2 phones.. but is it stupid to use 2 white phones?? e.g. White 903 and White 707sc?? Or Red 903 + 707sc??

haha cheater j/k but I need to figure out how to do the rear silver portion and what kind of paint to use. And I destroyed a fairly good condition housing off my black to get it to install, not sure if it was worth it or not. But i pefer the look

i made the wallpaper, after I played around with my locked 705p, I really liked the softbank start up screen so I just made it, well you just need to find a softbank logo put it in the middle of a qvga wallpaper and have the background black

Woah the N82 is amazingly..... ugly (well the back looks acceptable). No offense to you or your choice of phone though. But I gotta say your all black 903 looks awesome though.

The LG KU990 looks kinda good...never had an LG phone before though and am kinda afraid to try... some people say the battery is alright while others said that it is bad...lots of conflicting views.

I'm kind of a flash noob so I might not be able to explain to you properly but I'll try. I used a module called FSCommand2

I learned how to use it from this online tutorial and this documentation.

Basically, I have a two dynamic text boxes. One of them with variable 'hours' and the other with 'minutes'. In my actionscript, I have this:

hours = FSCommand2("GetTimeHours")
minutes =FSCommand2("GetTimeMinutes")

Theres also commands to get seconds, date, day of the week, battery, etc.. but I wanted to keep it simple. Hope this helps =)

But its supposed to be like that. I like to use my 903 in viewer mode. If I wanted a vertical background, I would have just put on a wallpaper and used the default clock.

Yeah, apparently. I'm gonna go for the gold one, myself.

Camera quality is as follows:

904SH -> 903SH -> 910SH -> 912SH -> 920SH

I've never used a 911SH, so not sure about it.

They keep sacrificing camera quality for thinness, and I guess the 1seg functionality, maybe? The 912SH is pretty bad.. very fuzzy pics.. and the 920SH is still a 3.2MP, but has been downgraded to CMOS.

I really hope Sharp will do an upgrade to the 910SH.. I wanna see them go back to making great camera modules.

Oh yeah, I'd say so. I owned the 903, 904, and 910 all at the same time at one point. I took them out one day and snapped photos of the same stuff with each. It was 904 -> 903 -> 910. Not much of a difference between the 903 and 904 though. The camera module barely changed.

Hmm, the 904 pictures were always way more compressed than the 903's, with smaller file sizes and more artifacts in the files. Was your 904 a Vodafone one or a Softbank one? Mine's a Vodafone one.

But these phones seem to have very different results when taking pictures. I've seen some amazing pics taken with 903 and some absolutely terrible ones. Not saying you're taking ****** pics, but I think the conditions under which you take the picture make a huge difference.

I liked that the 904's pics were compressed a lot though.. made it faster/cheaper for sending to people, rather than having to shrink it myself using the phone or Photoshop.

In any case, I don't own a digital camera right now, and it's really hurtin'.. I miss being able to take some decent pics. It ALMOST makes me not want the 920SH, but I don't know what else I would choose. I can't say no to that gorgeous design and that amazing display.

I agree with Kboard. Also my 904 takes longer to focus on macro than my 903 and sometimes can't lock focus at all.

I'm so getting a 911t.... my only issue is where to find them - apart from HoFo marketplace.

My biggest gripe atm is where to find them for sale. I'm waiting for them to appear on eBay as I am more used to buying expensive electronics there rather than over a forum+MSN.

US both uses 850 and 1900mhz CDMA, i ddnt see a W in the beginning to i assumed

US uses 850 and 1900 WCDMA, Tmo uses 1700 and 2100, both are needed for uplink and downlink

i checked out the sharp phones on the softbank site and some of them say that it's for japan use only.. like for example 910SH but i see some of you have it and i don't think you're using it in japan.. so does that mean that software has been developed and is unlocked?

i was wondering if someone could comprise a list of the phones that are unlocked and are able to be used in canada for me.. i've pretty much looked through this entire thread and i'm not too sure which phones are available for use in canada.. since i know that the phones are made especially for use in japan and they need to be unlocked first with the software when developed

if you could purchase the 705SH or 770SH or 903SH or 910SH(these are the ones that i found throughout the thread and web that i liked best).. which would one you choose and why? are they available for use in canada? what are they worth brand new right now? i know some are old but yeah.. like the 903sh is 2 years old, the 705 and 770 is 1.5years old.. not too sure about the 910sh

best bet for the best phone is the 903sh.

phone clicks but a nice click, its very glossy, and i love the mirror finish on the phone, dpad cud be tricky for those whove been used to the 903sh dpad i accidentally press the center dpad a lot, 2 line display is sick, somehow i think the LCD is better on the sx633a, it looks more brighter and clear, it does MA-3 ringtones and accepts microSD, screen is slightly smaller than a 903sh. im very happy with it, its def wayyy sexier than a 903sh, im one happy sx633a owner

how come your t91 has hong kong firmware and not taiwan? did you reflash it to hong kong?

He bought it with HK firmware I believe, and he wants Taiwanese firmware on it I also believe... just needs to find someone/somewhere to flash it local to him

After using the T91 for a week or two. I find that the phone didn't impress me as much as I had thought it would have. I maybe moved a single eyebrow but thats about it.

I don't have that wallpaper~~~ But I have Erika Toda (戸田恵梨香） as my wallpapers and they look just dandy~~~ But I still think that iphone looking wallpaper is nice.... it would probably fool everyone in my area. Then again people in my area isn't the shiniest apples in the bucket either (-_-")

Nope, that's Erika Toda from Nobuta Wo Produce and Death Note Movie (she played Misa in Death Note).

The other Erika from １リットルの涙 is Sawajiri Erika (沢尻エリカ）which is on my 770SH's wallpaper from a couple pages back

It's about half the thickness.

Cons::
It's not got a 3MP camera.
It doesn't have autofocus.
You have to take off the battery cover to access the memory card
The screen is smaller (same res though so it looks nicer)
Screen does not swivel
No QR code reader
No e-book reader

Pros:
It is smaller

Added Pros, same external 2 line display as 705SH, unlike sx633 and 770sh, its 705sh minus JP specs

You get a nice japanese click, and u get a nice glossy surface, classier than 903sh and 904sh

Nice pics AL9999. I like the look of the slightly upgraded UI-especially the music player.

In the picture gallery, is the UI laggy? Does it show a larger thumbnail when you hover over the picture? And is the UI still using digital zoom when you are zooming into the picture?

1. It depends on the picture. I found thumbnails of pictures taken by the camera to load up very fast, while pictures I loaded onto the phone from other sources loaded very slowly. The pictures themselves loaded reasonably quickly enough. I'm yet to study what the difference is that causes it, but it's not file size or resolution.
2. No it doesn't show a larger thumbnail. Just a selector box.
3. Yes it will still allow you to digital zoom beyond 100% magnification. However you should have seen one of the pictures with the options box, with an option called 'Original Size'. That one will zoom the picture to 100% directly.

I answered your question in another thread where you asked it. No, it doesn't support flash lite at all. MP3 ringtones can be set in the 880SH, I'm unsure about the SX663 (in the older SX633 I don't think you could).
