Which phone offers STELLAR reception?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Which of the current offered Cingular phones offers the best reception? I live in a mountainous region with sketchy service and every bit helps. For instance in my area on the same carrier the side-by-side difference between Moto and LG is significant(Moto rules).
Tethering to laptop is important, speakerphone, bluetooth- nothing else really matters.

Thanks in advance.

Samsung A707 Sync.

either krzr or sony 810, samsungs dont get good RF i think.

SLVR l7 has excellent reception, maybe even better than the beloved RAZR.

SLVR or Razr would be your best bet.

In my opinion, the SLVR reception is terrible. Absolutely terrible. I went through 4 different SLVR's before I finally concluded it was the phone. I kept trying diff sim cards, locations, and obviously slvr phones and none were able to hold a call when it got to 2 bar or less and every single person I spoke to said I'd go in and out a lot.

Sony Ericsson W810i.

my razr was great...the slvr while better than other phones consistently got 2 bars less reception and would drop calls continously...if u look at smartphones my 8525 gets even better rf than my razr...I mean I'm holding calls in basements and elevators underground that not even my razr could

RAZR is the choice.

Blackjack and Sync are great.

I think it really depends on where you are. Do you want 3G of 2G. Where I am GSM is now on 1900 and 3G is on 850, thus a 3G phone works better than GSM for coverage. GSM can barely get reception inside while 3G works even deep in hospitals and elevators. I've tried all of the 3G phones out now and they all are working the same for me. While GSM phones are iffy here. Nokia always worked best for me.

blackjack has the best reception i have ever experienced in any phone i have ever owned.

Wirelessly posted (Nokia E62: Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; en-us) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

I have been blown away by the reception, voice clarity, and loudness of the speaker phone on my Nokia E62. Also the build quality is top notch. I have had over 50 phones in my life, and this one really shines.

I can't believe only one person has suggested a Nokia. Nokia is known for their phones' reception quality.

Any Nokia.

Whoops

And if you're not in a 3g area and want to go on Cingular's current lineup, I've had no problems with the w810.

I bought an unlocked Krzr K1 from Motorola and I am very impressed with the RF signal capture so far.

Although it's very rare to have a zero or one-bar signal in my normal travel area, I did notice recently that I was able to have a fifteen minute conversation inside a very old building with just a one-bar signal.

I live in Culpeper, at the base of the Blue Ridge, and travelling up Route 666 into the mountains, it seemed to do a little better than the last iteration of the V3i, which was also a phone well known in my part of the world for being able to make calls where other devices would fail.
