ok i just got the phone and usb cable been reading on what drivers to get and found most people were using the LG USBMODEMDRIVER 4.5
so i downloaded that file installed it without the phone plugged in and i then plugged the phone back up and Vista noticed the new hardware and i went to install it manually so i pointed the wizard to the folder which contained the drivers and Vista said it could not find the drivers....can anyone please help?

Uninstall them. Vista has built in drivers and will detect and install your phone automatically.

i just have the beta copy and i've done everything uninstalled them tried to let windows search for them and it still can't find any drivers for it

What version are you running? Beta 1, beta 2, RC1 or RC2? RC1, RC2 and RTM have built in drivers. All I did was plug my phone in and Vista detected and installed it. You don't pick where the drivers are in any case. Just let Vista search for them.

well thanks for your help, but i got tired of vista and all its error messages i've been getting. So i formated my computer and put XP back on and got things working. I sure hope the final release of Vista is better than the beta copy i had
