Wirelessly posted (Nokia 6620: HTC-3100/1.2 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows CE; Smartphone; 240x320) UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

This has been covered many times. No wifi.

Where in Cingular's website are claiming the 2125 has Wi-Fi? I don't remember seeing that ever, and the 2125 was conceived WiFi-less. The 8125 and 8525 (as well as their cameraless versions) do have Wi-Fi. The 2125 and 3125 do not have Wi-Fi; they were built without it so don't go crazy trying to hack the phone to enable something that Cingular didn't cripple and it's simply not there.

Wish I saw it too at one point. I made the mistake of buying it thinking I could use the wi-fi and save some money.

I like the phone never the less.

The HTC website says the Cingular 2125 has 802.11b Wi-Fi. What's the deal?

The deal is that the website is wrong.

Now the T-Mobile SDA has wifi and aside from that is basically the same as the 2125. I have the SDA and I use it on Cingular. Search for SDA on Cingular and you will find the thread that gives you the instructions on how to do that if it interests you.

I just double checked. Neither HTC America Website nor Cingular website says 2125 has wi-fi built-in. Do you have a link to prove that?

Cingular also known to have incorrect information about its phones. For example, my 8125 was listed as having a VGA (640x480) screen.

I've had both versions of the 2125, the original version and the newer one, with the raised Power button. None of them have Wi-Fi. Apparently someone at HTC America wanted to cut corners and just copy/pasted information for the T-Mobile SDA into the Cingular 2125 specs table.
