Auto Receive of Gmail via Pop3 on RAZR, is this possible?

Quick question to those using a GMAIL account as their pop3 email on a RAZR, or probably any similar Motorola phone.

Are you able to have it automatically send/receive every 30min or 1 hour? The phone allows this as a setting, and I have it set to every 30 minutes, but it just doesn't work. I got rid of the problem of the "Certificate Invalid" message, so that's not the issue.

When I check email manually it works fine, but when having the phone check automatically, it just won't work. It tries to go through the process but then gives that sound you get when you call a number that's not in service.

Has anyone set up their GMAIL successfully to automatically check for new messages? Any ideas as to why this isn't working?

Nevermind... I got it figured out. Now it works.
