Specific MP3s not working as Ringtones on BJ?

So I have finally gotten around to putting mp3 ringtones in for each specific contact. Unfortunately, certain mp3s will just not work. When I select them in the ringtone part of the contact, and then move the cursor away, it just erases what i chose.
I have tried to narrow it down, but I cannot. Doesnt matter if its in the my docs directory or the SD card, doesnt matter how large the file size is (happened with small and large), didnt seem to matter how long the file was, didnt seem to matter about the ID tag or file name. Anybody have any ideas?

One thing I have tried to do is keep my mp3 ringtones all at the same bit rate. That lil bitty speaker can't reproduce 330kbps sound anyway.

I am setting all of mine to be 64kbps and keeping the file names as a single word. Is that a requirement? Nope not at all. I just know that is working for me. I have some tones that are up to 35 seconds in length. All are stored on the SD card. All of them seem to work fine.
