I can't figure out how to get mine working.

I have a v3c cricket, and for some reason i can't get the start up .mp_ to work.

i've placed it in the location where verizon's usually is, AND where alltel's usually is. but no luck.

ive disabled the moto start up, enabled it. but still no go.

weird that my shutdown works though, can anyone help me with this? perhaps its a seem i have to edit?

I'm having the same problem on my V3m. Got the startup animation, but the shutdown wont work on my alltel. As for the sounds I'm confused because of the extension. Mine are also labeled as .mp_. I'm gonna try a few things, I'll let you know what works.

aww thats lame. i have my start up and shut down animations working fine, and my shutdown sound working, but my start up one is startin to piss me off. haha

i've tried almost everything, sooo you be smart and figure it out. :-)

I can't get my start up animation working! How did you do it? I replaced it properly, but it still plays the motorolla startup.

i have the picture (customer_opening.gif) placed in the a/motorola/shared/picture folder. make sure its the right dimensions. im not sure what they are, but you can google start up images for v3c or whatever.

if that doesn't work, then it could possibly be a seem edit, because if i remember correctly, when my v3c was flashed to alltel, my start up screen didn't work after i disabled the motorola animation on startup seem.

i think the seem for that is seem 2742 record 0001, offset 001d, bit 3 CHECKED for it being on, unchecked for off.

if that doesn't solve the problemm, thennn im not entirely sure. lol

i hope that solved it though.

to everyone else, any luck on knowing a fix to my problem? id like to get the start up sound to go with my current layout of my phone. haha
