Installation
VoiceCommand over BT works by default when you install to "main memory"
If you install on storage card, you must use the following hack:
copy vcbthag.dll file from \Storage Card\Program Files\Voice Command\ to the \windows directory
open registry editor to: HKLM\software\microsoft\bluetooth\audiogateway\
- edit the key: BTAGExtModule
- set the value to \windows\vcbthag.dll
power down your device and reboot

What phone does this work with? It's not clear from your post. A lot of us are waiting on a solution to this problem for the Blackjack.

well i tried it my qtek 8310 if voice dialing over BT works on your phone when VC is in stalled to the main memory then this will work when you install it the SD card for some reason voice dial over BT only works when installed to main memory ....well that is until now.

does not announce calls through Bt headset though they still get routed to the phone but I will keep looking for solutions either on myown on by searching the forums as did for this find

Trust me, VC is THE ONE app you want to install on internal storage instead of SD card.

why do you say that? i installed voice command to my memory card and it has never given me any problems on my blackjack, and i did not do any kind of registry hack. i just installed it straight to the card and it seems to work fine, and i have been using it for 1 month now.
what is the difference between installing to phone memory vs the memory card?
thanks

well the main difference between the two is the vast saving on phone memory you gain plaing it on the sd card the second thing is Voive dialing over the BT headset doesnot initiate with the press of the headset call button when installed to the sd card unless you do the hack above

in fact for all those of you ant volice dialing over bt and want it installed to the sd card a simple test and thank you would surfice but as usual with this forum most peeps just want to rip apart any advice any one gives to help,

I reason to wonder why I bother posting here when the info is far more appreciated on other forums and yes it was not my find i just copied a post from else where but still all you all do is moan

try it dont try it choice is yours but do NOT make stupid statements that will make people who are not as capable as some of us at getting the best from there devices too scared to try ideas that will increase performance orhelp gain much needed memory on the phones especialy those with 64mb as we need all the room we can get.

Rant Over

The reason is VC is loaded at startup and is a core functionality of the phone when critical events happens, i.e. voice dialing, incoming calls, new emails etc. As such, you need it be faster and reliable. Storage card access is very slow and unreliable (imaging your access programs on a floppy disc on your PC). It will make your phone very unreliable as well as slow to response. Try take out your SD card and see how your phone reacts (I wish it won't lock up).

I learnt from my 8125 experience the hard way. If you install a home screen plugin on you storage card, the only way to make your phone work again is doing a hard reset.

when i restart my phone i notice that voicecommand starts up automatically along with activesync. i guess i am lucky, but i have no slowdowns or freezing problems with this program being on my memory card.
