HSI Sales for Cor Employees

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I work in the South Texas area for a cor store and I am concerned about the whole HSI as a quota. I mean it would be ok if we did get credit for the sales but it seems that not only me, but alot of associates in my area at least are not getting proper credit for their HSI's. I mean if its going to be a quota wouldn't it make sense that the process was smooth and the proper commission was givin to the employee ...i dont know thats just me of coarse lol. But come on really??!? I just want to know if any other associate is having this problem getting there comm for their sales using the FPP, and the ATT DSL qualifying tool?? (and if so how)

Yeah mine to, thats why when we do get a qualifying customer we need to make sure we get our sales

Its not in my area at all. I kind of wish it were so I could get it at a discounted rate though.

Why worry about DSL when you can sell a T1 , T2, or T3 data line in a non company areas all over the US... there is money to be made in them bandwidth hills for business!

My coworkers and I have all but stop trying to sell that crap. We loose about 5 sales a month because FFP and ATT dont know what they are doing, and out of the last three months, the 6 i HAVE MANAGED TO GET, 2 have charged back because ATT took about 4 weeks to get everything hooked up. I have it, and not only were there mix ups after mix ups, it took 6 WEEKS to get it set up from start to finish. I almost turned it off and went back to my roadrunner. HSI is a freakin joke, and ATT knows it. You cant put a quota on a sales rep, and then not give them a way to sell it, because the people we call to turn it on dont know their own products. NOT TO MENTION ATT DRAGS BUT ABOUT GETTING STUFF DONE AT ALL, MUCH LESS ON TIME.

Screw FFP, screw ATT Internet Dept. and F***ing screw HSI!!!

*****end rant*****

i'm glad they don't have this in Bellsouth markets. they have authorized agents in stores selling bellsouth products..

I work in California and sold 24 HSI's last month for a few reasons. Instant in-store rebate plus you were supposed to get paid on the metric (aka 85% of 14.99, 85% of 24.99 etc,) plus there was a 30 dollar spiff on top of that. My commission check was high, but my-comp definitely didn't spell it out for me exactly and I'm wondering if I got paid for my work. To top it off my manager who was so keen on us finishing first for DSL in our market couldn't show me where on my-comp I was getting paid. A store north of my location actually threw a strike over this and as a result, they no longer have HSI's as a part of their quota. So because of this, I went from 24 last month to only 1 this month. If it's part of my quota, make sure I have reason (commission) to get paid on it.

do we get deacts for dsl's?

Posted by: bumfights

I've been informed there are no chargebacks on DSL...but who knows?

Posted by: CingyMacGuy

No, there are currently no chargeback on DSL. Once sold, you get the comp and the credit for the sale.

If SBC/ATT rolled this whole selling HSI in stores about 5 years ago, it would have been selling like crazy. They jumped on the bandwagon a little to late to be pushing it as hard as they have been. Pretty much everyone has HSI now a days. Plus I thot it we were selling Cingular Wireless not ATT broadband and dish network. Might as well change the store name to ATT wireless, hsi, and TV.

That's why are are going to "AT&T" and not AT&T Wireless or our new legal entity name "AT&T Mobility, LLC." we will be AT&T stores that sell every AT&T service.

The bellsouth markets will probably start selling DSL in the near future. There are already flyers with promotions for getting the SYNC free for signing up for Bellsouth FastAccess(a joke really) DSL. It kinda sucks when Comcast speeds are at 4Mbps and 8Mbps.

I guess the days of just selling a phone are gone!!

It will get better when everything gets branded AT&T for selling DSL and home services because people will expect...right now they don't. They expect Cingular ONLY.

It is like going to a Radioshack to buy some parts but not realizing they are trying to be a mini-best buy with all of their extra crap. Ok bad analogy!!

Just use get connected and you won't have any trouble.

They announced the spiff was back for HSI a few days ago, so yesterday I closed like 7 of em. I'm back baby wooooo!

1. There are no chargebacks on DSL.

2. There is a 25 dollar spiff you will see in your comission check on Peoplesoft under sales incentives.

3. The features are retroactively added to your mycomp after the end of the month they show up with weird names but you can tell because they show up at the end of the list.

4. High speed internet roll out has increased to the point where (in my local market NCA) DSL is available in a lot more places. Example: My area DSL was available approximately 10% of the time before the upgrade. Now it's available close to 30%. You can tell the new availabilities because they are only eligible for basic and express speed and not elite or pro.

5. If you call the FFP hotline you can find out exactly how close someone is to being eligible. On a recent call they were 200 feet away from being eligible.

6. High speed internet is slow but cheap. It is the most VALUE rich wired internet option. That being said if you need speed wait for fiber.

7. As Homezone and U-Verse expand the existing DSL copper lines will be upgraded to fiber and pending the department of justice legislates a higher cap on AT&T wirelines.

One Love,
Prom
