I have the VX9600
I installed the LG drivers but BitPim does not connect. It detects Other CDMA Phone on Com5. I then try to change it to LG VX8500 but it does not connect. When I do the same thing using the wizzard it gets to the detections and says "failed" I am new and need help. I could not find any similar posts.

It seems like each person has their phone detected thru a different com. Have you tried others? I saw a few instructions that stated to use com3, and then nearly every person who responded stated they used com 4 or 5,or...

I am using Com4, but I have several things connected that are utilizing communications ports. I didn't have too much luck with a USB cable that I got off eBay, but I picked up a cheap Bluetooth adapter, and in the software included (it's Trendnet btw) there's a program called Bluesoleil, seems like it's freeware, but it's a wonderful program. You just have to make your phone discoverable, search for devices on your PC, and pair them. Next, go to Tools > Configurations > Quick Connect. Go to any of the ports that say SPP next to them, and add your phone under it. Next, right click your phone in Bluesoleil and highlight "Connect" and click on "Bluetooth Serial Port Service." Bitpim will still not recognize your phone unless you keep a program like Bluesoleil open and connected to the Bluetooth Serial Port Service. If you already have drivers for your bluetooth adapter, then I highly recommend getting Bluesoleil, it's made by IVT Corporation. Good luck!

EDIT: Also, with the USB cable, you might have to disconnect all of your USB devices and connect them one by one. I have heard that this helps a lot of people.
