It goes from 3G to GPS and then Edge....when I had the blackjack it was always on 3G and FASTTTTTTT. Im NYC where 3G should be all the time.

How do you fix this issue to get 3G speeds all the time?

I have the same problem with my Blackjack.

I have tried forcing UTMS but the data speeds are slow and connections take a long time to establish when I try that.

I presume you mean to change the dns in the MediaNet setup? What do I change them to? Currently my primary and secondary are set to 0.0.0.0. Do I also have to set a specific IP address?

Thanks for any help - this problem is bad enough for me to consider returning the BJ. Also should I try exchanging it for another BJ?

change them to 208.67.222.222
second one to 208.67.220.220
it will help with the locating problem

Connections/connections/manage existing conn/edit/next/next/advanced/servers

then select the use specific sever address in DNS put the 1st IP in then under Alt DNS put the 2nd one in.
