Turning off Blackjack

I have tried to find this on the forum but remember reading that to turn on or off the blackjack you have to push several buttons. I know initially turning on the device is done up top but turnng on the screen when waking it up I thought you had to push a couple of buttons.
Can anyone tell me if this is true?

to turn on the screen, you need to just push the power button. but then the key's are locked and you need to push 2 buttons to unlock it. so it does take 3 keystrokes to start using it.
