Just installed this cute launcher that mimics the ipod look. I set it to launch with the side button on my Treo 650. (better get it quick - Apple threataning to sue)

Any way to set this as your default theme/launcher?

Posted by: Telyx

There are a couple of apps (SharkFix, I think, and ButtonsEx) that let you reassign your Home button. You could just assign Home to launch iPhony.

I can't seem to find a way to set my Home button to do this. I don't think it's possible. Any thoughts?

I am no Palm expert, but if you made iPhoney = Home, then how would you get to all the other apps? (Thats why I put iPhoney on the side button.)

Very valid point. I didn't think of that. Thanks!

Yeah, that's what I set it to also.

I really like this interface though. It obviously looks rockstar, and gives me everything I want to launch. I wish they would develop it further to be able to set it as your default and then have an option (like iSpin) to go back to the old app list with the touch of a button.

Thanks for the post and bringin' the word from TCentral.

A friend was talkin' trash sayin' the iphone is way better than the T650 today. I didn't even get into the actual facts about it. I just loaded up iPhoney, showed it to him while laughing, and he walked away from me on campus. lol It was such a rockstar moment it Treo ownage.

HA! Way to go Rad. Shows 'em why an open platform PROGRAMMABLE phone is better than a closed propritary APPLIANCE!!

This was supposed to be rev 0.2 but with Apple threatening to sue, I don't expect any upgrades - too bad

I just put this on my Treo 650, and it looks awesome. I think it is pretty cool to have a phone that is so capable as the Treo. This phone can do ANYTHING!!!

hahaha "Appliance."

That sounds so demeaning. I'll be using that in the future, for the record.

Posted by: Telyx

Mo has officially said he isn't developing this app any further. Too bad.
Apple is threatening suit over "intellectual property" concerns?! Have they taken a good look at their user interface and compared it to the app launcher Palm had over a decade ago? They're both just icons you tap to launch apps. Apple made theirs in color on a black background... big whoop.

Posted by: tyeweb

So with this app, will you see the amount of SMS messages, and the cingular bars on the top???

Posted by: Telyx

I don't think so. On my Tapwave Zodiac (Palm OS 5.2.7), it covers the available screen area completely, except for the "virtual Graffiti area."

Posted by: sflynn

how do you install it? its a single prc file?

Standard Palm installer, yes single prc.

Posted by: Khris

Or put it on an SD card and then use Filez (or any other file manager) to copy it to the Treo.

Posted by: Rad Adam

I had this program working fine on my 650, but I apply a program to a button on the 700, I can't seem to find the sms text option.

Could someone tell me what the selected in the list on their 700p for the text messaging app?

Thank you.

Posted by: Telyx

I think it's called Texter or something like that.

Posted by: Rad Adam

Ahh cool thank you.

Actually it's called "Nexter," for some odd reason. Thanks for the help!

Posted by: Telyx

I thought it wasn't exactly "Texter," but couldn't remember what it was.

Posted by: davistld01

Anybody have this on their 680 yet?

Posted by: Torontonian

Useless...Why mimic an inferior product?
