Help with Location Number-a707 Synch

[B]Found this in manual. Could be useful feature if there were numbers assigned to your contacts. Anyone know more about this. I'm using SIM card to store my contacts, as I didn't like cingulars crap in my address book.
Dialing a Number from the SIM Card using the Location Number
1. In Idle mode, enter the location number for the phone number you want to
dial and press the # key.
The contact entry information is displayed.
2. Press the Up or Down Navigation key to find other numbers on the list
3. Press the Call soft key, the dial key, or the cingular key when you have selected
the number you want to call.
