the fire dept tried it out and it worked i read in a update story of this that he was smoking or something like that anbd fell asleep or something.

ya but it could happen! my friends phone burst into flames when he was charging it. it cought the curtains on fire and part of his sofa. it was a motorola phone and i think it was verizons v710.

several cases of motorola phones causing fires have been popping up.

i myself have held phones from motorola (v262 and v710) where the casing and finish have started to bubble while charging.

one customer's ac charger melted into the bracked and fused itself to the phone.

another customer brought in a photo or scorch marks on his wall coming up from the outlet where his motorola v262 was plugged in charging.

something is definitely not right with motorola's older 3pin/2prong connector.
